A former Alexandria Fire Department employee, Monique Jackson Asante, pleaded guilty in Alexandria Circuit Court today to money laundering related to public theft. She was indicted by the Grand Jury for the City of Alexandria on July 11, 2016, related to a lengthy scheme to steal and launder public money from the City government.
