Who is John Hnatio

I’m here to tell you a story about ‘truth, justice, and the American way.’ No it is not a story about superman, but it might as well be.  The story is about a man who fights injustice wherever it raises its ugly head.  This story is about a man named John, who has overcome the adversity of a corrupt government, and now stands with and for others who find themselves fighting the Goliath called big government.

John grew up as a military brat. John’s father was a highly decorated military ace in World War II.  John’s father’s name is Myron Mack Hnatio.  John spent a large portion of his childhood outside of the JohnU.S.  John’s father was stationed in Japan after the war to help in the rebuilding efforts.  It was in Japan, at the knee of his nanny, that John learned the meaning of respect and honor.  In the 1960’s, John’s dad was assigned to the U.S. Embassy in Ottawa, Canada, to liaise with the Soviets at the time diplomatic relations between Russia and the United States had broken down.

Although some might think that John is new to the standing up for what is right club, in actuality, John should be President.  In his career as a government employee, John twice put his career and life on the line to do what was right and to protect the American people. In the 1980’s, John Hnatio served as a nuclear safeguards specialist who conducted independent inspections of security at DOE nuclear weapons sites.  The reviews highlighted serious management failures that allowed security problems to go unresolved for decades.  For refusing to concur on a misleading report to President Reagan downplaying serious security problems, Hnatio’s superiors threatened his security clearance and he was “back burnered,” no longer allowed to conduct inspections.  In the 1990’s, as a senior manager for a cooperative nonproliferation program with the former Soviet Union, Hnatio discovered that elements of the US government were funding dangerous projects involving the development of new biological pathogens with Russian institutes that could have military applications.  For reporting his concerns to his superiors that such activities were violating US treaty obligations and export control laws, Hnatio was forced to retire.  Hnatio retired from the National Nuclear Security Administration in October 2004.” (http://www.nswbc.org/members_bios.htm)

John’s saga continued after he was forced to retire early from the Department of Energy.  As a middle aged man, John decided to go back to school and get his doctorate degree.  John’s doctoral thesis was a ground breaking solution to risk management called predictive analytics (http://www.google.com/patents/US20110173146).  Some might even go as far as saying John is the father of this new technology.  After John graduated from the George Washington University, he started his own business utilizing the patent he received from his doctoral work.  John founded a company called FoodQuestTQ, where his patented technology would be used to keep the U.S. food supply safe. Unbeknownst to John, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration stole his intellectual property and copied his risk prevention software tools.  John is currently in the fight of his life, as he once again finds himself in a familiar position of fighting a corrupt government.

Although John has his own battle with the U.S. Government, he also refuses to allow the government to perpetrate the same crime against others.  That is why John founded a non-profit program called the John Galt Program for Investigative Studies (JGPIS).  Currently, John is assisting two other companies fight against the theft of their intellectual property by the U.S. government.

“Whenever you fight against the government, you can expect them to try to marginalize you and brand you as a traitor. John is far from being a traitor” said Bruce Becker, Chief Operating Officer of JGPIS.  “We felt it important to get the truth out about Dr. Hnatio before the government attempts to define him in a negative untruthful way,” Mr. Becker continued.

“We would like to ask the American people to stand with us,” Mr. Becker said, “as we fight to right the wrongs occurring each and every day within this country we call our home.  America became great because people were willing to take chances.  We call that following the American dream.  But as government steals the brain children of the best and brightest Americans, we are witnessing the dream become a nightmare.”  Please visit our web portal to find out what we are fighting for https://jgpis.org/.
